The helmets had a heads-up display that allowed the user to view their surroundings by having physical things pointed out, have faces scanned, to view images or play music.
The helmets had an artificial intelligence that allowed the users to talk to their helmets, which often had a limited personality. Noah Tolmach used an AI called A.L.I.C.E. to help him control the helmet's functions, whilst Daniel's AI was named S.E.B.I.
Behind the scenes
The helmets they wear resemble those of the Star Wars films' clone troopers and Darth Vader, respective to the above order. On the day of filming Episode III, Noah gave Daniel a choice between three helmets: the clone, Vader, or Boba Fett, the latter of which wasn't used until Noah's armour.
