Stories of the Sith: League of Death is the first in a series of canon novels about events surrounding the Sith in the Puppet Saga. It refers to the Assassin League.

Official description

The Assassin League have been spreading out across the galaxy in search of the last JediKermit and Rowlf. Their leader, Darth Daniel, sends his troops on a mission to an abandoned AL vessel that stopped transmitting to him. Together, the limited number of troops find no one there...until one of them wanders through the corridors to find a trooper acting strange and zombielike, infected by a virus called the End.

Development

The novel was the first planned canon novel announced. It is a sequel to Episode VI, and includes the Assassin League.

The novel's story is shortened in the Puppet Saga: Episode VI and VII bridging content between A Death In A Family and Thomas Awakens.

The story is based on a similar Star Wars Legends novel and a Star Wars: Battlefront II fan made map.[1]
